The filter was simple and straightforward to install. After we ran through the 2 gallon cleaning cycle we poured out water to drink and it tasted great. The filter was almost too simple to install -- take off the cap insert it into the outlet in the fridge and twist in. The lock is not a tight fit so dont expect it to be We are pleased with the filter and water quality.

Installing Water Filter

Due to the design of my refrigerator this filter is very labor intensive to change. The top shelf has to be removed to get the filter out but the top shelf bumps into the filter as you are trying to get it out and the filter cant be removed without removing the shelf .

When I buy direct from LG the water filets always is great for about 5-6 months. This last one I got from Amazon and a month in and is slow to give water like it is 5-6 months old. Its why I always buy direct from LG. Even Home Depot wasnt this bad. They say ORM and looks the same but one month really. You were out of them but I wont make the same mistake again. Not sure what product you ask about below. The frig or filter. Ill answer for this filter.
