After 20 months of flawless performance a manufacturing defect -- a wire shorted because it was rubbing against a pulley -- spoiled the streak. It cost us $300 to repair making this highly rated dryer almost 50 more expensive. We can only hope we will not suffer any further setbacks for the rest of its hopefully long service life. And by the way we did not receive this product free or at a discounted price for our honest opinion but we would like to receive a sweepstakes entry for our review.

recent purchase Nov. 2023. So far is working well. Have had one issue with drying time and the clean filter stopping the machine when... the filter was cleaned. I clean it after every use and use the vacuum to get down in the filter housing area. so not sure what up here at this point. Keeping an eye on it. We dont do a lot of laundry as there is only two of us.

HUGE dryer. Works well dries fast. Very happy with it. Do not like the energy savings option that comes up every load and which I turn off. All it seems to do is run the dryer without heat for a while extending the drying time by significant amounts. I cant see that doing that is saving much electricity and having to turn it off with each load is a bit annoying I am all for saving electricity but this feature seems to save a very negligible amount. Other than that 5 stars.

Still getting to know my new dryer It took several turns through the manual before I was able to get the hang of using the new features. Since I have mastered most of them I dont think it has stopped I love how quiet it is. Also the wrinkle control feature is super nice

The machine works great it is simple to use and does an excellent job cleaning my clothes. One downside however the machine may have a design flaw. A water hose that comes attached to the washer arrived with a small slit in the hose. We wrapped it with tape to allow me to use the machine until a replacement hose arrived. In order to replace this hose the back of the machine must be removed and reassembled from inside the washer. I am still awaiting a replacement hose.

I bought this dryer stand new from Lowes. I then had to leave town for 4 days. When I came back I hooked the dryer up and it would not power on. Did everything LG asked for me to do to attempt to resolve the issue. It still would not power on. I was told that I needed to return the product to Lowes. I then called Lowes they told me since it had been longer than 48 hours since I purchased the item I would have to go through LG. So I have a $700 dryer sitting here that does not work and no one wants to take responsibility for. I will never buy another LG product or buy another item from Lowes.

I bought this last month. Unless you have a very large wet load to dry the normal setting does not warm up or dry the clothes. Only cold air. You have to put on manual for it to dry the clothes.

I this dryer along with matching washer 9-19-23. We stacked the units due to space requirements. My wife picked them out at Home Depot. It took her a few days to get used to them but she loves them now. Delivery and installation was smooth and easy. These units are much much better than the singular self contained washerdryer we replaced. We can wash larger loads now and I am convinced the clothes come out cleaner. We are very happy we chose these combo units and we recommend LG washers and dryers very highly

We have had this dryer about two months. It has worked perfectly except for the end-of-cycle chime which suddenly stopped working. We searched through the manual to troubleshoot the issue but found no help there. We then called LG support where we learned the end-of-cycle chime can be turned on and off by holding the Dry Level / *Signal button for several seconds. We tried this and successfully restored the end-of-cycle chime. Resultant suggestions: Describe the operation of this feature in the manual. Change the button label to *chime instead of *signal for naming consistency. Provide an audible or visual indication specifically identifying the on or off status of the chime resulting from holding the button.

I was afraid my electric bill would go up but my LG dryer is so efficient. The sensor is accurate and stops the dry cycle when its all dry even before the timer goes off. I have not had to rerun a load to get it completely dry.

Annoying rattling/grinding sound

Our brand new DLE3400W dries fairly well but has a very annoying loud rattling/grinding sound from the very first load even when empty. We have requested service but have not heard anything from LG in days so service doesnt seem very good either. We get tons of marketing material from LG since registering my product though. The beeps and boops are a little over the top and the finish signal plays a whole quiet song which is better than a buzzer but not sure how effective it is as it is hard to hear if you are not close by.

Weve had our dryer for just over one year and it has performed quite well getting big loads dry if set on very dry . However most of the times there is a small puddle of water at the front of the dryer.

We had to retire the old LG dryer not because it quit working but because there was a crack in the drum Still ran good after 14 years or so I thought. Fired this new one up the day it was installed and I guess the old one was wearing out because this baby did the same job 10-20 minutes faster So simple to use too. I only need it to dry not call my phone or text me or anything like that. And its so much quieter

Dryer does not produce heat sensor does not work

I bought this shiny new dryer a month ago but have not been able to use it. It runs for a couple of minutes does not produce heat and then cheerily announces the cycle is done. Sometimes it throws error codes some times it does not but the bottom line is that it does not work. On a service call I was told it is my electrical circuits despite the fact that we have a circuit board less than 6 months old that was completely overhauled to run rooftop solar and handle much more juice. This is also despite the fact that my 20+ year old energy hog of a dryer always worked just fine. So I am waiting for an expensive house call from an electrician to prove the circuits are fine while we bring our clothes to laundromat or hope it does not rain so we can lay out the linens. The dryer clearly needs a recalibration or a service call to diagnose its problem but LG will not provide.

First dryer delivered would not work at install so another was brought out 3 days later. That one was defective as well. The delivery company and the service repair both confirmed it after motor was replaced. LG will not replace. Worst company EVER.

Horrible Dryer- Do Not Buy

I ignored everyones feedback about how bad this LG front loader dryer is after purchase. It has an airflow sensor which is malfunctioning just like everyone said. I have hired a technician to look at the dryer to insure that the exhaust hose is straight and without a kink. We have also had the exhaust to the outside cleaned and inspected. Just like everyone says this dryers air flow sensor malfunctions. The new LG dryer replaces a former LG dryer with which we had no problems with the same air flow discharge setup. Our old LG dryer work for 15 years with the air flow discharge system that we have. The greatest advice that you will receive here is not to buy this dryer.

I bought new LG dryer Because I believe this LG brand but delivery after installation after turn on dryer but bang bang noisy sound many. I called service center 23th July.. they appointment 2nd August .. 8:30 AM~12:30PM but today 2nd August 1 PM They never visit on time now ..really disappointed to them hope LG service quickly and correctly correct service for new customer .
