It never stops running! My basement is not that big i have had other units equal and they periodically shut down , i called your help line and was told to use the delayed shutdown and after 2-4 hours it would come back on., the help People don't even understand the instructions . It is a quiet unit and looks nice but my electric bill is going to be huge! Why won't it take a periodic break from running ?…. Without me going down and shutting it off!!!! Thanks , Janet

Not only did the dehumidifier take down the humidity in our basement, but when we had a water break on the main floor- we moved it upstairs. Worked well!!

Bought this in April of 21, worked well. Put it away for winter and got it out in May . Will not collect water. Less than a years use and doesn't work.
I was expecting more from a well know name. If I unplug it and plug it back on it will come on for a while but shut off and no water.

GE Dehumidefier works well. the only thing that I recommend before buying is to check accurately the size of the containing water thank because its difficult if you do not see it. this model - we own a bigger one and contain more water extracted. this works just fine for the laundry room - excellent quality product. came in perfect shipped condition

Seemed like a good buy at the time. Only used it for the Summer and Fall of 2021 and unplugged it for the winter. Now in the Spring of 2022 it only runs for about 40 minutes and cuts off with no water in the bucket and will not restart. Does not matter what Humidity setting, fan speed or anything else. The one year warranty has expired by 37 days you would expect GE to stand by their product. We will be contacting customer support, hope they can help us for replacement or service. My old Sears one lasted 15 yrs, this one, 1 yr??

I can't believe the amount of water this thing is extracting from my lower level in our home. I almost feel like someone in going behind putting water in it. I don't knowhow long this thing will last. It's full every two to three days! Love it but it's working me emptying it.

The product works beautifully, reducing the RH fro 80 to 50% in about 3 hours. That would make it 5 stars, but - HUGE drawback is that it has a horrific plastic stench that pervades the house. The smell has not gone away after use for three days. I also have to run an air purifier to be able to live with it. So rating is low because you can't be in the room where it is working. Even when it is off, it still smells.

I live in a basement so this dehumidifier was a must. I purchased it about 7 months ago and have used it every day since. But now, it won't even turn on. When I plug it in, the lights flash and then disappear. I have cleaned the filter, and the bucket with paper towels. My next step is to try and find some information online to try and fix it since my apartment is unbearable without this appliance. I'm super frustrated with this inconvenience.

We are quite happy with our new little GE dehumidifier. It pulls a lot of water out of the air quickly. It is also quiet, small, and light weight. Bucket and hose connection design is smart and easy to use. The only reason I give it a 4 star instead of a 5 star is the relative room humidity indicator is in increments of 5% instead of one. This is a minor issue which is easy to adapt to. We would buy this again and we are considering getting a second one.

My basement was smelling pretty musty and I was noticing mildew growing on some walls. I purchased this dehumidifier in hopes it would help with the musty smell and it sure did. Runs well, shuts off when the tank is full (eventually I will get a hose so we don't have to empty tank), makes the air feel fresh and dry.

Easy for me to carry into my basement. Hooking the hose to the unit was a bit difficult and I had to add plumber's tape to get a secure seal. The ADEL35LZ removed moisture in my basement quickly. The appliance is fairly quiet compared to my last unit. the screen is easy to remove and clean. I am happy it has an energy star, but was disappointed when the model was not on the list for a rebate. Overall, I am happy with the unit.

I'm very happy with this dehumidifier. Does exactly what I need it to do. My dining room is holding moisture and extremely humid. On bad days I have to empty 2-3 times. I wish the holding bin held a little more water so I didn't have to empty it as often, but I admit this could be trouble, as it is heavy when it's full. I love the handle on the holding bin, it makes carrying it to the sink super easy. If you want the option to run this constantly into a sink with drainage and not have to empty the canister, you will need to purchase a hose, as it didn't come with one.

The ADEL35LZ is a hard working little unit! I have it in my basement (~400 sq feet) and it works like a champ. Sure I've had to empty it about twice a day when I first plugged it in but once it got the humidity down to 50, it's more like once a day. I think access to the filter for removal for cleaning could've been designed better, but you can't have everything. At least this reservoir was designed to suit level on the floor. I couldn't set my old Idylis reservoir on a flat surface because the bottom of it wasn't designed for that. Go figure!

I was in need of a dehumidifier for my basement that would get a little damp in one corner when it heavily rained for hours. The RH level would hover around 65-75%. Within 4 hours of turning on this unit it already had dropped the RH to around 55%. The tank was already half full and it even smelled cleaner in the air. It is super quiet as well!!
